John E Rielly is President Emeritus of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He is also currently an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Northwestern University and a Visiting Professor in the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at the University of California, San Diego. John Rielly is a former member of the HAA Board and a current longtime member of the GSAS Advisory Board.

Dr. Rielly served for three decades (1971-2001) as President of the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations. Prior to that he served as Foreign Policy Assistant to Senator and Vice President Hubert Humphrey (1963-69). Editor of seven editions (1974-1999) of “American Public Opinion and US Foreign Policy”, John has kindly offered to speak to Harvard Club members whilst visiting family in Sydney.
