Research supported by an Australia Harvard Fellowship leads to breakthrough in bio-fabrication and better way to test new cancer drugs

A recent article in the leading scientific journal Nature Protocols discussed an breakthrough by a team at QUT.  The discovery allows researchers to use 3D printing to create simulated tumours in the lab, and then to test potential treatments on the simulated tumours (faster and at a much lower cost than would be required to run a Clinical Trial).

Professor Ali Khademhosseini and Professor Hutmacher received funding from Harvard Club of Australia Foundation for this research through an Australia-Harvard Fellowship.
